Stereoscopic Digital Cinema 3D is gaining popularity due to the advent of digital projection and digital acquisition. This means that, unlike in the early 1950s and 1960s there is now unprecedented control over the left and right eyes for viewing in 3D. Combined with enhanced (and cost effective) technology in glasses the 3D cinema experience provides a comfortable and enjoyable viewing experience for over 2 hours. The days of tired eyes and headaches are over. All of the major film studios are now producing a large array of stereoscopic movies for the viewing audience.
